Double Exposure Blackjack (HR)

Tired of the dealer teasing you with that down card? Then make her expose the draw cards by playing Double Exposure Blackjack!

Double Exposure Blackjack - Game Guide

Double Exposure Blackjack takes away the down card house edge by exposing the dealer’s first two cards on the draw. That makes Double Exposure Blackjack an even game. The goal is still to get to 21 or to at least have a higher number than the dealer. Face cards count for 10, the Ace can be a 1 or 11. In Double Exposure Blackjack, the dealer has to hit on a “soft” 17. Like Switch Blackjack where the house edge is subdued because you’re allowed to switch your top cards between two hands, Double Exposure Blackjack takes away the house edge of the dealer having one of his cards down on the draw. In return for seeing both dealer cards, the dealer wins on a tie.

Double Exposure Blackjack - How to Play

As in any game of Blackjack, the goal is to reach 21 or get as close to 21 as possible without going over. In Double Exposure Blackjack, you get to see both of the dealer’s cards on the draw. That’s where you get the edge, but the trade-off is that a natural 21 pays even money in Double Exposure Blackjack.

The minimum bet amount in Double Exposure Blackjack (High roller) is $50. After making your wager, the dealer deals all four cards, two for you and two for her, up on the draw. Once you’ve received your two cards, you can Stand or Hit. If you hit, you get another card, and you keep getting cards until you are satisfied with the number you’ve got. Remember that if you bust, if you go over 21, you lose.

If you’re closer to 21 than the dealer, you win. You don’t get a bonus for hitting a natural 21 in Double Exposure Blackjack because the game essentially starts out even since the dealers shows both cards on the draw.

Double Exposure Blackjack is played like a regular game of blackjack after the draw except the dealer has to hit on a “soft” 17 and the dealer wins on a tie.

Double Exposure Blackjack - Bet Types

There is only one bet per hand in Double Exposure Blackjack. You can make the minimum bet all the way up to the maximum bet before any cards are dealt.

Double Exposure Blackjack - Minimum and Maximum Bet Amounts

The minimum bet in the online casino for Double Exposure Blackjack (High roller) is $50 per hand.

The maximum bet in the online casino for Double Exposure Blackjack (High roller) is $500 per hand.

Double Exposure Blackjack – Payouts

You win what you bet. If you bet $500 per hand and you win, your profit is $500. If you win with a natural blackjack, you show exactly 21 on your first 2 cards, you win even money in Double Exposure Blackjack.

Double Exposure Blackjack - Strategy/Tips

The strategy in Double Exposure Blackjack is the same as Single Deck Blackjack except in Double Exposure Blackjack you get to see the dealer’s two cards. There’s no real guessing involved. See a couple of examples below:

Dealer’s cards are a Queen and 5 and you have a Jack (10) and 8 - - Stay

Dealer’s cards are a 9 and King and you have a Queen (10) and 4 - - Hit

In Double Exposure Blackjack, the dealer has to hit on a soft 17. You can use this to your advantage if the dealer ends up trying to make up ground on you, for example if you showed a 10 and 9 and the dealer showed a 3 and 4, and hits the soft 17 with her third card, she’s going to have to hit again and again since the definition of a soft 17 requires an Ace, and the Ace just went from an 11 to a 1, there’s a good possibility that she busts.
