Multi-hand Blackjack - Game Guide

The rules for Multi-hand Blackjack aren’t much different than the rules for standard Blackjack. The goal is still to get to 21 or to at least have a higher number than the dealer. Face cards count for 10, the Ace can be a 1 or 11, the dealer has to stand on 17 and the draw is to 16, and if you go over 21, you bust. But in Multi-hand Blackjack, you can play up to 3 hands per deal, and you can double on any 2 cards, not just on the 10 or 11 like in Single Deck Blackjack.

Another difference between Single Deck Blackjack and Multi-hand Blackjack is that 3 decks for each one of your hands are used in Multi-hand Blackjack.

Multi-hand Blackjack - How to Play

Like Single Deck Blackjack, the goal of Multi-hand Blackjack is to get as close to or at the number 21 by using face cards and numbered cards. The difference is that in Multi-hand Blackjack, since you can play up to 3 hands per deal, the goal is to get closer to 21 without going over for all 3 hands!

You make at least the minimum bet, $50 dollar in Multi-hand Blackjack per hand, before any cards are dealt. The dealer’s first card is always dealt down while your first two cards for each hand are dealt up. Once you’ve received your two cards, you can Stand or Hit. If you hit, you get another card. You keep hitting until you are satisfied with the number you’ve got, as close to 21 without going over.

If you go over 21, the dealer wins. If you’re closer to 21 than the dealer, you win. If you’re at exactly 21, you’ve hit a blackjack! If you get 21 off the draw, a natural 21 via your first two cards, not only do you win your bet, but you win a bonus amount on top of your bet!

Just like Single Deck Blackjack, you can also buy insurance against the dealer having a natural 21 and you can split your hands.

Multi-hand Blackjack - Bet Types

There is only one bet per hand in Multi-hand Blackjack. You can make the minimum bet all the way up to the maximum bet before any cards are dealt unless you double down. You double down, doubling your wager, $100 becomes $200, on any 2 cards in Multi-hand Blackjack.

Multi-hand Blackjack - Minimum and Maximum Bet Amounts

The minimum bet in the online casino for Multi-hand Blackjack (High Limit) is $50 per hand.

The maximum bet in the online casino for Multi-hand Blackjack (High Limit) is $100 per hand.

Multi-hand Blackjack – Payouts

You win what you bet. If you bet $100 per hand, and you win all 3 hands, you win $300. If you win with a natural blackjack, you show exactly 21 on your first 2 cards, you win 3/2 per natural blackjack hand.

Multi-hand Blackjack - Strategy/Tips

The dealer is going to have one card face down per hand. What this means is that you will have to strategize around the upcard, the card that you can see. If the dealer is showing a card higher than one of yours, you’ll want to hit. If the dealer shows a card lower than yours, you should consider staying and hope the dealer had to work hard for the higher number. See a couple of examples below:

Dealer’s upcard is a 5 and you have a Jack (10) and 9 - - Stay

Dealer’s upcard is a 9 and you have a Queen (10) and 3 - - Hit

In Multi-hand Blackjack, the dealer has to stay on 17 and the draw is to 16. You can double down on any 2 cards in Multi-hand Blackjack. You have to stay after the third card is dealt on any doubles and you can’t re-split hands or double again once a double or split has occurred.
