Ante and Play
Before any cards are dealt, the player must place an Ante, which is a forced bet to ensure there is money on the table. If the player chooses to fold, the Ante bet is lost. If the player chooses to raise, they must place a wager that is equal to the amount of the Ante. In order for the raise to be made, the dealer must have a qualifying hand, which means holding a Queen or card of a higher value. If the dealer fails to qualify for the raise, the wager is returned to the player and the player will win the Ante bet, which is paid out at 1/1. If the dealer's hand qualifies but the player's hand outranks the dealer's, the player will win the Ante at 1/1, unless the player holds 3 of a kind, which pays 4/1, or a straight flush which pays 5/1.
Pair Plus
Pair Plus is a wager on whether the player will receive a pair or higher when the cards are dealt. If the player is dealt a pair or higher, the Pair Plus wager is won, and winnings are then paid out based on the strength of the hand. Please note that if the player chooses to fold, the Pair Plus wager is lost, regardless of the strength of the hand.
